Recently, Liana De Vlieger started as a Junior Business Analyst at GT Invest. Together with Joren, Liana keeps an eye on the financial picture of our portfolio companies.
What made you want to work for GT Invest?
GT Invest is growing strongly and I was convinced that the extensive knowledge I gained about all kinds of companies during my role as an auditor would be useful to assist GT in its growth.
I immediately felt that I belonged in this young and close-knit team where the colleagues are just as driven and committed as I am.
By making detailed reports I analyse where optimizations are possible. This way I want to provide added value for GT Invest.
What does your job as a junior business analyst entail?
I analyse the market, costs and the competition for our portfolio companies. Based on those analyses, I help them think about efficiency and optimization possibilities. I also provide reports for GT Invest and the banks.
How do you want to make a difference at GT Invest for our portfolio companies?
I can completely lose myself in detailed cost analyses and preparing financial reports. By analysing these, I contribute to continuous improvement for GT and the portfolio companies.
What do you like the most about your job?
The great thing about my job is that I got the chance to immediately immerse myself in all the portfolio companies: each company has its own vision and way of working. It is very interesting to get to know the people behind the company and to look over their shoulder at the challenges that lie ahead.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time you can find me in nature: I will either be walking or horseback riding. Or I like to enjoy a nice dinner with friends and family.
